Freedom Silver is an independent, family-run Canadian shop with one mission: stop cool coins from getting melted.

Every year, thousands of collectible coins get sold for their silver weight and tossed in the melt pot. Every time that happens, a little piece of history is gone for good. We rescue the good ones and send them to collectors who actually care about the story, not just the metal.

How we use tech (and why it matters to you)

We're coin nerds, but we're tech nerds too. Here's how that makes buying from us better:

• AI-assisted coin research. Every coin gets identified and researched with help from AI: weight, purity, mintage, designer, finish, backstory. Then a real person checks it before it goes live. The robots help us move fast, and humans make sure it's right.
• Priced off the silver spot price. Our prices are built from the current spot price of silver, so there's no mystery math. You see what the coin is and why it costs what it does.
• Live auctions and the store stay in sync. Our Whatnot shows and this website run on one shared inventory. If a coin sells live, it's gone from the site. No double-selling, no "sorry, that one's actually gone" emails.
• Real photos and tracked stock. Unless a listing says otherwise, the photos are of the actual coin you'll get. Every piece has its own tracking number from the moment it lands with us to the moment it ships.

Austin Line: The Auctioneer

Austin's the voice behind our Whatnot shows. He's got years of hands-on experience with precious-metals inventory, and he runs sourcing, coin assessment, photography, inventory, and shipping. He's the guy who spots the collectible hiding in a pile of "just silver" and finds it a new home.

Sarah Ferreira: The Tech Brain

Sarah's the reason the machine runs. With a background in tech, e-commerce, and growth, she built the systems behind Freedom Silver: the store, the research workflow, the inventory sync, and the brand. Her goal is to make coin collecting easy to get into, whether it's your first coin or your five-hundredth.
