Historical Significance

Newfoundland's 20-cent coin was easily confused with the similar-sized Canadian 25 cents, and during the First World War Newfoundland replaced it with a 25-cent coin. The 1912 issue had a mintage of 350,000 and is the only George V date of the denomination.

Why We Love This One

A coin from a country that no longer exists, in sterling silver. A neat conversation piece for any Canadian collection.
