Historical Significance

To help pay for the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal, Canada issued 28 silver coins in seven four-coin series between 1973 and 1976. Series II, issued in 1974, looked back to the ancient Greek roots of the Games, with Zeus and his temple at Olympia alongside the torch and the Olympic rings.

Each $5 coin weighs 24.30 g and each $10 coin weighs 48.60 g, all in 92.5% silver, for about 4.34 troy ounces of pure silver in the set.

Why We Love This One

Over four ounces of silver with real Olympic history behind it. The wooden case and numbered certificate make this one feel extra special.
