The Saint-Maurice Ironworks near Trois-Rivières, Quebec, began producing iron in 1738 and ran for more than 140 years, making it one of the first heavy industries in Canada. The Mint's 1988 commemorative silver dollar celebrates its 250th anniversary.
Why We Love This One
A neat 1988 set that pairs the loon dollar with a silver dollar about early Canadian industry. A nice fit for a run of proof sets.
