Historical Significance
Thayendanegea (1743–1807) was a Mohawk leader who allied with the British during the American Revolution. Afterwards he led many Mohawk people to new lands along the Grand River in what is now Ontario. The Mint honoured him on the 2007 silver dollar.
The Mint struck 65,000 of these in proof.
