Sugar maple leaves in full autumn colour, with a raindrop-shaped Swarovski crystal catching the light. This 2017 proof coin from the Royal Canadian Mint is the second in the Jewel of the Rain series. Lisa Thomson-Khan's design sets red and gold maple leaves against a quiet woodland stream.
Struck in one ounce (31.39 g) of 99.99% pure silver, 38 mm across, proof finish with a serrated edge. The obverse carries Susanna Blunt's effigy of Queen Elizabeth II. It comes in the Mint's maroon clamshell with the black outer box and serialized certificate. Only 4,500 were made.

One of the prettiest coloured maple leaf coins the Mint has made. The crystal raindrop is small but it really sparkles in hand, and the low mintage makes it a keeper.
