The 2019 proof silver dollar honours the 75th anniversary of D-Day. Tony Bianco's reverse shows Canadian infantry wading ashore from a landing craft at Juno Beach under fire, with the Morse code for 'V' – Victory – in the sky above.
Struck in 23.17 g of 99.99% pure silver, 36.07 mm across. It comes with the Mint's maroon clamshell, black outer box and serialized certificate. Mintage was limited to 20,000.

Historical Significance
On 6 June 1944 some 14,000 Canadians landed at Juno Beach as part of the Allied invasion of Normandy. By nightfall they had pushed further inland than any other Allied force that day, at a cost of 359 killed. The anniversary coin was part of a wider 2019 Mint program remembering the Normandy campaign.
