Historical Significance

Canada lowered the silver in its small five-cent coin from 92.5% to 80% in 1920. The silver five-cent coin ended soon after, replaced in 1922 by a larger nickel coin. Most 1921 fish scales were melted, which makes that date a rarity that we never include in bundles.

Why We Bundled These

The 80% fish scales mark the last chapter of Canada's silver five-cent coin. Small, affordable and genuinely historic.

Please note: bundles are sold as is. Years and designs are selected at random and will vary from bundle to bundle, within the years and condition described above. Loose coins ship in a black satin bundle bag, and the coins shown are representative of what you'll receive.
